I have played the classical guitar for about 10 years. I joined classical guitar clubs during the high school and university years. I had participated in the two concerts before I joined the army.
Seoul National University Classical Guitar Club is 43 year old club. It opens regular concerts in Spring and Fall twice a year. Concerts were prepared by hard training during vacation because most of ensemble members were novices. I assumed musical director at the freshmen ensemble. I cannot forget the moment that I glared the baton in the conductor’s hand at the real concert. After finishing the concert, some shed tears and so did I. It was one of the most touching remembrance of my university days.
I recently recorded my guitar play and uploaded it to YouTube. The video is embedded below. Enjoy it.

Whoa – Hyunwoo, I have never seen a concert like that!
Thank you!
How. It’s good experience to me.
Hello Hyunwoo. I was wondering, Does SNU have a classical guitar music program?
I am currently doing my undergrad in classical guitar at the University of Victoria, Canada. Is it possible to do a masters in guitar performance at SNU?
I cannot find this information anywhere.
Hi. I am not sure if SNU has an “official” classical music program in its School of Music and Arts. I heard that it has one when I was undergrad.
BTW, the club mentioned in this post is just student-organized informal group not official program offering a degree.
