One of the questions I have wanted to answer was “How can we design in a systematic way?” There are a ton of methods out there which can be employed in a design process such as persona development, use case, writing stories and scenarios. However, questions such as when a certain method should be used and which method should be used mainly depend on the genius instinct of designers.
I met a meta method called “Design Structure Matrix (DSM)” which can systematically identifies orders and iteration points when we use a number of design methods. I am now trying to use DSM to develop meta design method or application helping designers select methods and sort them.
